ISE researchers present their research at Trinity’s Institute for International Integration Studies (IIIS) 10th Anniversary Conference, December 13-14th. ISE was represented by Damian Jackson (IRCHSS Scholar and PhD candidate) who presented a paper on ‘Attitudes to the Relaxation of the EU Border Regime: Economically Beneficial but Politically Unrealistic?,. Dr Federico deSista (ISE PhD graduate now teaching part-time at Rome University and working in consultancy) also presented her research, with her paper ‘From Theory to practice: Potential and Pitfalls of a Rights Based Approach to Discrimination in the kaffa Society of Ethiopia’  and Dr Gillian Wylie presented ‘Human Waste? Reading Bauman’s Wasted Lives in the Context of Ireland’s Globalization’.
