Denis Halliday Provides Insights to the Middle East and United Nations Reform

image In a wide-ranging and provocative lecture, Denis Halliday, Under-Secretary General to the UN, 1994-97 and UN Humanitarian Coordinator to Iraq, 1997-1998, spoke to International Peace Studies students on October 26. Halliday provided insights into the Middle East, based on his experience of working for the UN and on the need for and possibility of UN Security Council reform. Students engaged strongly with the lecture and a lively debate ensued.
